Let’s Get Ready For Some Football

PARK HILLS — Monday marked the first day of high school practice for Fall sports teams, and for those outside sports, it couldn’t have come at a better time. With high temperatures dipping into the low 80’s, Monday was much more bearable than in the past few weeks, especialy for area football teams, who have only 18 days before the season opens on August 26. Many teams start the season with two-a-day practices.

The Fall season includes seven sports swinging into action for area high schools: football, volleyball, softball, girls tennis, boys soccer, girls golf, and cross country as well as off-season baseball for schools that do not have football programs.

Mineral Area College’s volleyball will also  be in action for area sports fans with MAC’s baseball and golf teams playing their off-season schedule.

Photos are of the Central Rebels working on blocking and receiving skills to start their Monday evening practice.
