Ruth Thompson
PARK HILLS — Ruth E. Thompson, 86, of Bismarck passed away August 12, 2011, at her residence. She was born January 21, 1925, at Newton, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Harry and Lois (Kinart) Hoffmaster; first husband, William Leroy Clements; second husband, Charles Thompson who passed away August 2, 2011; daughter, Sharon Ruth Volbruck; and two grandchildren, Shad Stephen Asher and Kurtis Michael Witfoth.
She is survived by: Daughters, Cynthia Porter and husband Mark of California, and Demeta Griffey of Illinois; step-sons, Glenn, Randy, Brian and Charles Thompson Jr.; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-geat-grandchildren; 18 step-grandchiuldren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and sister, Mickey Nolin of Iowa.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Sister Earline Morris officiating. Burial at Old Pendleton Cemetery.
