Chapman’s trial reset for Nov. 15
FARMINGTON — Two trials that were scheduled later this month have been postponed.
Ronald Chapman’s trial had been scheduled for Aug. 25. Chapman’s trial was continued and reset for Nov. 15 before Circuit Court Judge Sandy Martinez.
Ronald Chapman, 56, of Bonne Terre, was charged after a meth lab-related explosion occurred in Bonne Terre last year.
Ronald Chapman, Chad Chapman, 41, and Larry Blakely, 40, all of Bonne Terre, are charged with drug trafficking, first-degree arson, six counts of possession of a chemical with intent to make meth, and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Larry Blakeley’s trial is scheduled on Nov. 9-10 but has been bumped to a number 2 setting. Chad Chapman’s trial has not yet been set.
In an unrelated case, Dennis R Conway’s trial, which had been scheduled for Aug. 30-31, is now scheduled Nov. 9-10 on a number 1 setting before Blakeley’s case.
Conway, 58, of Bonne Terre, is charged with two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and possession of child pornography.
The charges allege he had deviate sexual intercourse with two children under the age of 10 between 2004 and 2006. Conway told police that he did not touch or hurt the children. He is also accused of possessing obscene material consisting of a photograph that portrays what appears to be a child under the age of 18 as an observer or participant of sexual conduct.
