AV R-2 School District sets tax levy

IRON COUNTY – The Arcadia Valley R-2 School District set this year’s tax levy rate at 3.3700 per $100 valuation at a tax rate hearing held Aug. 18 at the administration building. The board approved the recommended rates of 2.7000 for the operating fund, .6200 in the debt service fund and .0500 in the capital improvements fund to arrive at the total.

According to Superintendent Jim Carver, the school district’s operating tax rates have remained constant for nearly 20 years. The operating tax levy has been at or below 2.7500 for the past 19 years.
