Lady Cats lose opener to powerful Scott City
FREDERICKTOWN — The Fredericktown volleyball team nearly kept pace with the talented middle attack of Scott City in game two, but dropped its season opener 25-11, 25-20 on Monday night.
Libby Mays was a busy libero with 16 serve receptions and 20 digs to lead the Lady Cats (0-1). Taylor Capone served three aces and matched Courtney Hampton with a team-high four points.
Jessica Wilkerson made four kills and Terra Helm added three as setter Courtney Tinnin tallied four assists. Fredericktown will continue a 3-match homestand tonight against Herculaneum.
