Knightettes place second in golf tourney

O’FALLON — The Farmington Knightettes played in the Webster Groves golf tournament on Friday, and they were able to claim some of the tournament’s hardware for the school’s trophy case. The tournament  was a mixed format with two girls playing individual style, two playing a best-ball, and two more playing a scramble.

After adding the four scores together, the Knightettes bested 11 other teams to place second with a score of 272, trailing only Ft. Zumwalt South’s 255.

Paige Gallagher shot the second best round in the individual format with an 82, and Peyton Goff and Lauren Roberts combined to take first in the scramble with a score of 90.

Farmington will be back on the links at Parkway Central on Thursday for their next golf meet.
