Accident injures Bonne Terre woman
A Bonne Terre woman received moderate injuries in an accident in Franklin County Friday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kristie D. Twiggs, 35, was taken to Missouri Baptist Hospital.
The accident was reported at 6:42 at Highway 185 south of Meramec River. Twiggs was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer north when it went off the left side of the road and overturned.
A De Soto man was killed in an accident in Jefferson County early Friday morning.
According to patrol reports, Norman J. Meadows, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 5:30 a.m. Reports state Meadows was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger on Highway 21 north of Britton Road when he crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the road, then over-corrected and went off the right side of the road. The truck struck a tree and caught fire.
