See-saw battle leaves Lady Bulldogs on short end
FESTUS — The West County Lady Bulldogs and Jefferson Lady Blue Jays were hardly ever more than three points apart in their three-game match. With the lead changing hands several times in each game, Jefferson captured the three-gamer with a final score of 25-21, 21-25, 25-23.
Paige Forshee led the Lady Bulldogs with six kills and 13 points served. She also made 14 digs. Libero Sidney Wells had 16 digs, and Courtney Richards made eight with both players serving 12 points each.
Miranda Lashley served 11 points as well as four kills and two blocks. Lauren Callahan also had four kills. Brittany Eggers made eight assists, and Carissa Brewer made another seven.
West County (4-3) will host Valle this evening in conference action.
