Softball Cats fall to conference foes

The Lady Cats softball team lost a pair of MAAA contests last week.

Tuesday, September 13, the Lady Cats lost, 11-0 to Ste. Genevieve, here. Liz Royer, Anna Godsey, Courtney Allgier, and Tori White had the Lady Cats four hits.

Thursday, Sept. 15, was Senior Night, as the Lady Cats four seniors were recognized between the Varsity and JV games against Farmington.

The Lady Cats lost the game, 15-1 to the visiting Knightettes.

Fredericktown’s lone run came in the fourth, as Anna Godsey hit a 2-out double, stole third, and scored on a triple by Bridget Allgier. Those were the only hits in the game for the Lady Cats.

The Cats game, Wednesday against St. Vincent was canceled due to rain. No makeup has been announced.

Fredericktown hosts Sikeston, today, and plays at Park Hills, Thursday. The MAAA Tournament will begin next week.
