Volleyball Cats fall to Pirates, Tigers
The Lady Cats Volleyball team fell to 2-5-2 with a 9-25, 15-25 loss to Perryville, Wednesday, here.
Terra Helm led the Lady Cats with four service points. Jessica Wilkerson led with two kills and three blocks. Miranda Smith and Courtney Tinnin each had two assists. Wilkerson and Libby Mays led with four digs, each.
The JV Lady Cats suffered their first loss of the season to Perryville, 15-25, 25-23, 22-25.
Alex Long and Claire Davis each paced the Lady Cats with six service points. Paige Umfleet had five kills. Long added five assists.
Tuesday, Sept. 13, the Lady Cats lost a three-set match at Arcadia Valley, 16-25, 25-17, 19-25.
Taylor Capone, Cortney Hampton, and Courtney Tinnin each had seven service points. Terra Helm and Hampton led with five kills, each. Jessica Wilkerson had four blocks. Tinnin had four assists.
The Junior Varsity Cats stayed undefeated with an 18-25, 25-15, 26-24 thriller over A.V.
Kalli Guinn and Alex Long each had ten service points. Kelly Tucker had nine kills. Paige Umfleet had six. Ellie Jensen and Long each had five assists.
Saturday, Sept. 10, the Lady Cats played in the North County Invitational Tournament. The Cats split with Viburnum, 25-21 and 17-25. They dropped two to Windsor, 15-25 and 19-25. Finally, they split with Arcadia Valley, 25-20 and 18-25.
The Lady Cats will host Meadow Heights, Monday.
