Lawrence Monroe Standley

Lawrence Monroe Standley was born December 7, 1921 at Cooter, Missouri, the son of Frank Cleveland and Mary Elizabeth (Caudill) Standley, and died on September 17, 2011 at Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 89.

Mr. Standley was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gloria Huskey; son, Scott W. Standley; and granddaughter, Kelly Plank.

Mr. Standley married Ozeline (Dennison) on October 28, 1950 at Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife Ozeline Standley of Fredericktown; three sons, Robert L. Standley of Nashville, Tennessee, Lee W. Standley of Oceanside, California and Richard N. Standley of Fredericktown, Missouri; one daughter, Mary P. Duncan of Temecula, California; one brother, Charles Standley of Farmington, Missouri; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Country Cowboy Church and enjoyed church and traveling.

Services were held September 20, 2011 at Country Cowboy Church with Pastor Steve Francis officiating. Burial was at Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Pallbearers were: Robert Standley, Lee Standley, Richard Standley, Chris Standley, Isaac Standley, Zach Duncan, Mike Huskey and David Huskey.
