Judge sentences two on felony charges

Probation violation, failure to register results in prison time for two men

Two individuals were sentenced on felony charges Friday before Circuit Court Judge Kenneth W. Pratte.

Daniel Patrick Gant, 31, of French Village, was placed on five years of supervised probation for failure to register as a sex offender.

According to court records, he failed to register in Novembers of 2008 in St. Francois County as a sex offender. He has a conviction of statutory sodomy.

Shawn Allen Brown, 28, of Cadet, was sentenced to four years in prison for violating the probation he received for failure to pay child support.
