WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Mineral Area College volleyball team posted two victories on Friday to begin play at the Southeastern Iowa Tournament, running its current win streak to nine matches.
Katarina Sretenovic knocked down 15 kills with Hilary Trevino adding 12, and Meghan Dohogne served six aces for the Lady Cardinals in a 25-14, 25-21, 22-25, 25-7 win over North Iowa.
Setter Marija Jovanovic compiled 45 assists and 12 digs, while libero Brooke Williams brought up 15 digs.
Mineral Area followed with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-20 triumph over Colby (Kan.) in straight games, improving its overall record to 19-3.
Sretenovic netted 13 kills while Trevino spiked 10 and Dohogne had seven. Jovanovic totaled 33 assists and Williams made 14 digs.
The Lady Cardinals will continue tournament play today against Kellogg (Mich.) and host squad Southeastern Iowa.
