Crystal City puts Lady Bulldogs away in three

LEADWOOD — The West County volleyball team locked up the opening game against Crystal City on Monday night, but the visiting Lady Hornets responded for a 19-25, 25-16, 25-18 victory.

Lauren Callahan knocked down seven kills and served 15 points for the Lady Bulldogs (9-10). Courtney Richards led defensively with 16 digs and tallied a team-high 16 points.

Carissa Brewer dished out eight assists and Brittany Eggers made six, while Jordan Mull added four kills in defeat. Sidney Wells totaled 11 digs and Paige Forshee added seven for West County.

Tiffanie Jones was elevated to the varsity roster and served eight points. The Lady Bulldogs will seek their 10th win tonight against Kingston.
