Leadwood board to meet twice on Tuesday

Leadwood Board of Aldermen on Wednesday agreed to buy a set of new tires for each of two police cars.

 Duncan’s in Doe Run had the lowest bid of $913.18 for new tires, mounted and balanced.

The board will meet twice on Tuesday. At 1:30 p.m., aldermen will meet with Taylor Engineering at City Hall. At 6 p.m., the board will hold its regular monthly meeting in the Leadwood fire station. The meeting was postponed from Monday for lack of a quorum.

Pam Perry and Jim Lewis have asked to speak during the public session. During the administration segment, topics include comp-time after 30 days, an increase in comp-time and the city building inspector.

A truck, personnel, a listening tool and the fire hydrant on Fifth Street will be discussed during the segment for water and sewer issues.

Police Officer Jared Heath has asked to speak about an issue involving the police department.

A discussion about the park also is scheduled.

The meeting is open to the public.
