Edna Ruth Cartee

Edna Ruth Cartee was born January 31, 1926 at Esther, Misssouri, the daughter of Albert and Eva (Baker) Wilfong and died October 28, 2011, at Womack, Missouri at the age of 85 years.

Mrs. Cartee was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers: Lawrence Wilfong, Leman Wilfong, Lloyd Wilfong, Thomas Wilfong, Alvin Wilfong, and Albert Dale Wilfong.

She married James Lee Cartee on December 19, 1947 at Fredericktown.

Mrs. Cartee is survived by her husband James L. Cartee; one son, Michael L. Cartee of Womack; two daughters, Helen Gilliland of Desloge and  Ruth Ann Pope of Park Hills; two brothers, Vernon Wilfong of Park Hills and Alfred Wilfong of Coldwater, Missouri; two sisters, Ruby Barnes of San Diego, California and Mary Moonier of Perryville; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Cartee was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Fredericktown.

FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri, with the Reverend Lloyd Durbin and the Reverend Bob Thebeau officiating. Burial will be at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Farmington, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be: Seth Cartee, Skyler Cartee, Jeremy Drury, William Pope, Gary Gilliland and Kevin Rosales.
