Helen Mae Pogue

Helen Mae Pogue was born April 19, 1939 at Fredericktown, the daughter of Floyd Leon and Sarah (Rauls) Rhodes, and died October 28, 2011 at Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home in Fredericktown at the age of 72 years.

Mrs. Pogue was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roy Pogue; three brothers, Leon Rhodes, Roy Rhodes, and Clarence Rhodes; three sisters, Pauline Rhodes, Hazel Rhodes, and Ruth Rhodes.

She is survived by her husband Robert Pogue, whom she married on March 22, 1956 at Hernando, Mississippi. Also, three sons, Roger Pogue, Wayne Pogue and Tom Pogue; one daughter, Brenda Cox; two sisters, Marie Starkey, and Nina Francis; twelve grandchildren, and eighteen  great grandchildren.

Mrs. Pogue was a member of Faith Family Worship Center.

She  loved Gospel singing, and enjoyed caring for others, camping, and children.

FUNERAL SERVICES; will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown with Pastor Buck Proffer, Pastor Gene Rauls and Brother Clyde Bess Sr. officiating. Burial will be at the Mount Gilead Cemetery in Higdon .
