Knights progress in post-season play

The Farmington Knights will host Gateway Tech on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Class 4 Quarterfinal game.

The team defeated the Hillsboro Hawks 42 to 7 Monday night at home in the Class 4-A Sectional game.

Farmington was 10-1 going into the game. Going into the DeSoto Dragons game Farmington was ranked number 9 in Class 4-A. They defeated Desoto on Nov. 2 by a score of 61 to 16.

On Oct. 27 they defeated the Sikeston Bulldogs 55 to 21, making their record 9-1 on the season.

Farmington also clinched the SEMO North conference title with a 5-0 record during that game. Currently Farmington football is ranked number 24 in the state.
