Scouts out this weekend hanging bags
On Saturday the local Scouts from the Ozark Trailblazers District of Boy Scouts of America will be canvassing our communities with Scouting for Food bags.
The boys will place the bags on the doors of every residence. All they ask in return is that the residents fill them up with non-perishable for products (can goods are preferred but any food donations will be accepted as long as they are non-perishable). Fill the bags up as soon as you receive them and place them in a prominent place within your home so that you do not forget the Scouting for Food drive.
On Nov. 19 starting at 10 a.m. the same Scouts will be returning to collect the filled bags. From there the canned goods will be dispersed among the local food pantries to be given to those in need within our own comminities.
Scouting for foods bags will go out in Fredericktown, Farmington, Ste. Genevieve, Arcadia Valley, Bellview, Bismarck, Park Hills, Desloge, Potosi, Bloomsdale and Bonne Terre.
The Ozark Trailbalzers wishes to thank everyone in the past and the present that have donated so generously to the Scouting for Food program over the many years of its existence; as well as your generous support of the Scouting program itself.
