Cougars succumb to Warriors in fourth quarter
STE. GENEVIEVE — The Kingston Cougars made a strong bid to upset the Valle Warriors in conference play on Monday, but the Warriors made a strong bid at the free-throw line (17-26) to secure a 48-39 win. The Cougars trailed by only three after three quarters.
Matt McCoy led the Cougars with 14 points and nine rebounds. Alan Shawgo scored nine points, and Ross Politte had seven. Clint Pinson pulled down 12 rebounds for Kingston.
Kingston is off until January 4 when they play Arcadia Valley.
