Civil War program Thursday
PARK HILLS – The public is invited to attend a special Civil War program that will feature a wide variety of Confederate Civil War uniforms.
The program will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Mineral Area College’s Public Safety Building, 5270 Flat River Road, Park Hills.
The presentation will address information including the differences and varying depot styles of the uniforms. The event is sponsored by the Gen. James R. McCormick Camp 215 – Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and will be presented by Michael Comer, administrator of the Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site in New Madrid.
This event will take place during a short monthly meeting of the McCormick Camp, and everyone is invited to attend (children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult).
