Warriors grab win at Chester tourney
CHESTER, Ill. — Senior forward Ryan Hermann scored a game-high 16 points, and Valle Catholic reached the consolation final of the Chester Invitational Tournament with a 55-45 victory over Elvarado (Ill.) on Wednesday.
Trevor Klump finished with 11 points and Jared Bruns netted 10 for the Warriors (8-5), who will face an opponent yet to be determined on Saturday. Linc Stoll and Jack Rozier scored nine points each.
Valle committed just 10 turnovers and posted a 30-22 halftime lead. A 6-0 run closed the game after the Falcons had pulled to within four points.
Dalton Porter scored 14 points for Elvarado.
