Lady Bulldogs pull away from Valle

STE. GENEVIEVE — West County allowed no more than six points in any quarter on Monday night, and dispatched Valle Catholic 49-19 to remain undefeated on the girls basketball season.

West County (14-0) forced 25 turnovers and was led by Paige Forshee, Tiffanie Jones and Katie Gettinger with nine points each.

Courtney Richards and Lauren Callahan scored eight points apiece as the Lady Bulldogs (14-0) extended a 17-10 halftime lead with a 10-2 run.

West County improved to 6-0 in the MAAA Small-School standings, and will play three of its last four conference games at home.

Natalie Grass netted seven points for Valle (3-10).
