Newton David Aldridge

STE. GENEVIEVE — Newt, 41, as he preferred to be known, was taken from us unexpectedly and way too soon on January 12, 2012, in an auto accident on his way to work on icy roads. Newton was a long time resident of Farmington. Newton was born on 01/08/1971 in Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital  in Farmington, MO, to William and Wanda Aldridge.  He graduated from Houston, Mo., high school in 1989.  He was an electrical nuclear engineer in the US Navy for 14 years where he received an accommodation for solving a problem between 2 reactors.

Newton married the love of his life, Christine Hobbs, in November, 2011.

He is survived by his wife,  parents, one sister, Victoria and her partner Karen, a niece and 2 great nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Newt was known by his friends as a good man who would do any thing for anyone who needed his help.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

Graveside services will be Friday February 3rd at 2:30 PM at National Cemetery Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Clergy will be Rev. Jessie Barton

Basler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
