Join the fun at Tall Tales Tuesday

With a fifth Friday in this month, the Parkland Toastmasters group will have a Tall Tales Tuesday.

The meeting is 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the North College Center on the Mineral Area College campus.

Charlie Boyer, a member of the group, said Tall Tales Tuesdays are always a lot of fun.

“You just go up and make up what you want to,” he said.

The purpose of the club is to enable members to improve their speaking skills and to gain confidence to express their ideas clearly and assertively.

Members become better listeners, thinkers and speakers. Members can also develop leadership skills by serving on a committee and by motivating, managing and leading the club.
