Recycling program opens at Enhancements, Inc.

The Sheltered Workshop has opened a recycling collection point for Washington County residents in the front of its facilities at Austin Plaza Center.

Items such as discarded paper, cardboard, used magazines and old newspapers may be brought to the center any time day or night.

Enhancements had already been operating a cardboard recycling program, picking up waste cardboard for several area businesses in the Potosi community, as well as in Aracadia Valley and De Soto.

Enhancements has 24 disabled employees at the present time, many of whom work in recycling operations.
