Accident injures Bonne Terre man
A Bonne Terre man was seriously injured Monday when he was ejected from his 1999 maroon Toyota Carolla in Jefferson County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Shawn M. Moore, 27, was northbound on Route E at 8:19 a.m. when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road. Moore overcorrected, which caused the Toyota to travel off the left side of the road and overturn, ejecting Moore at McGehan Road.
Moore, who had not been wearing a seat belt, was flown by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
Damage to the vehicle was listed as total.
A Ste. Genevieve man was seriously injured Monday when his 2004 Suzuki GS 6600 struck a fence in Ste. Genevieve County.
According to Highway Patrol reports, James L. Edwards, 20, was northbound on the Lawrenceton Cutoff Road at 12:26 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve to the right. The Suzuki went off the left side of the road and struck a fence at Route B.
Edwards, who had been wearing safety gear, was flown by air ambulance to Barnes Hospital.
Damage to the motorcycle was listed as extensive.
