Scouts hold Blue and Gold Ceremony

February 11, 2012, Cub Scout pack 27 held their annual Blue and Gold ceremony. Each scout was present with their families to receive awards each have earned in their dens so far this year.

The evening began with Webelos presenting the flags. Dinner was held with each den presenting food and decorations for each season of the year. Desserts were made by scouts and dads which were later auctioned off. Desserts included cookies, cakes, pies, race car cakes and a dirt cake.

As the evening progressed, skits were done by each den explaining what scouting and cub scout colors mean. Each skit was eventful and entertaining. The evening closed with the presentations and awards by each den leader.

The evening went off without  a hitch and leaders have already started planning for next year’s banquet.

The boys continue to work on their requirements to finish up the year. More fun and adventure is planned. If you are interested in joining Cub Scouts, please call Cubmaster Jamie Hargis at 573-561-4524.
