A. Paul Vance

A. Paul Vance, 92, died March 4, 2012, at his home, The Flying V Ranch on the Castor River, in Madison County. He was born July 22, 1919, in Zalma, Missouri, the son of Ben and Adelia Vance.

Paul was preceded in death  by his parents; his wife of 62 years Sue Vance; son Dennis Paul Vance; daughter Rebecca Sue Vance; sisters Fern, Frieda, Helen, Pearl, and Jeanie; and brothers Tom, Luke, and Gerald.

Paul is survived by sons Michael Vance of St. Louis, Terry Vance of Burlington, Iowa, and Robin Vance of Fredericktown; sister Myra E. “Mickey” Abernathy of St. Louis; ten grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and special friend Lori Knight.

Paul attended Calvary Temple Church and enjoyed flying, cattle, and the Castor River.

Funeral services were March 7, 2012, at Calvary Temple Church with Pastor Carl Cureton officiating. Burial was at McGee Chapel Cemetery.
