Richwoods residents hurt in Franklin County accident

Two Richwoods residents were injured in an accident in Franklin County Tuesday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shannon R. Crawford, 19, received moderate injuries and a baby, Kyle Fleming, received minor injuries. Both were taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington.

The accident was reported at 9 p.m. on Project Road east of Fairview Church Road.

Reports state the accident occurred as Crawford was driving a Ford Taurus east. The driver was distracted and the vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck two trees.
