South Iron School District honored for improved achievement
IRON COUNTY – The South Iron R-1 School District has been honored for Distinction in Performance for improved achievement through the Missouri School Improvement Program for the 2011-12 school year. It’s the third straight year the school has received this honor.
This award recognizes excellence in all core academic areas, graduation rates, attendance and student scores in standardized testing programs such as the ACT, End of Course Testing and the Missouri Assessment Program.
Superintendent Donnie Wakefield said he “is immensely proud” of his students and staff for their hard work and commitment to excellence. “They made this award possible,” he said.
