Knightettes soccer team strikes early at Hillsboro

HILLSBORO — Emily Mosier scored 13 seconds into the action on a passing play with sophomore classmate Taylor Sancegraw, and the Farmington girls soccer team rolled to a 7-2 victory over Hillsboro on Tuesday.

Mosier and Sancegraw each netted three goals and three assists, and gave the Knightettes a 7-0 lead in the 72nd minute after working together to find the net twice within a span of 24 seconds.

Freshman Montana Krause also tallied in the 29th minute as Farmington built a 4-0 halftime margin. Winning keeper Rebekah Sutherland made five saves between the pipes.

The Knightettes (3-0) outshot Hillsboro 24-11 and will host Northwest on Wednesday.
