Blackcats rally not enough to top Raiders
Despite a strong comeback attempt, the Blackcats Baseball Team fell to the North County Raiders, 7-5, Tuesday, April 3, here.
The visitors scored twice in the top of the sixth to take a 6-1 lead. The Cats came back with four in the bottom of the frame to trim the lead to one run.
In the seventh, the Cats put two runners on base but were unable to push the tying runs across.
Jeremy Gremminger led the offense for Fredericktown, going 3-4. Brady Brewen was 2-3 with a double.
Bryant Barks struck out six batters in his three and two-thirds innings on the mound for the loss.
The Blackcats will play in the Harrisonville Ozark Tournament, this weekend.
