North County wins par-three MAAA Tournament

PARK HILLS — The Central Rebels played host for a tournament at Pallo’s Par Three Golf Course on Tuesday involving teams from the 12 MAAA schools.

When the last ball went kerplunk in the hole, North County stood atop the heap with a 293, besting second-place Arcadia Valley by only three strokes (see team scores below).

Fredericktown’s Alex Wade was medalist with a 65. Kyle Sutton of Arcadia Valley was next at 66, and Josh Wells placed third with a 69. Potosi’s Eric McCoy and Arcadia Valley’s Eric Bennett tied with each shooting a 70. Billy Farr finished with a 73 for North County, and Colin Ruble took only 75 strokes for the Raiders.

North County’s Grant Hill and Fredericktown’s Lane Peppers both scored a 76, and both Kolin Gilliam of Potosi and Zane Kester of North County came in at 77 each.
