Spring Mountain Music Festival coming this month

This year’s Spring Mountain Music Festival will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 18, 19 and 20, on the grounds of the historic Iron County Courthouse in Ironton. The festival will feature not only three days of bluegrass, country and gospel music, but also cloggers and square dancing. Vendors and crafters will offer a variety of wares and food for purchase. There will also be artisan demonstrations such as twined rug making; quilting and spinning. A miniature train ride will be at the event for children.

An antique tractor parade and a kid’s tractor pull will be an added attraction this spring. An area will be set up for pickers, so musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments. A number of musical guests are scheduled to appear at the event.
