County text messaging warning system online

Iron County residents can now sign up for a new service that will send them text messages and e-mails in the event of severe weather or watches, road closures, school closures and other safety-related events in the community. While registration is now under way, the official kick off will be June 1. County residents can register at the Nixle Community Information Service website: www.nixle.com. Standard text message charges and fees will apply.
