Memorial Day Ceremony

WASHINGTON COUNTY – The VFW Post 6996 and Cordia-Humphrey Post 265, American Legion will have a ceremony at 11 a.m. Memorial Day on the Courthouse lawn.

The ceremonies will include a rifle volley by the VFW 6996 Honor Guard, followed by the playing of Taps and the raising of our nation’s colors.

A memorial wreath will be placed at the War Dead memorial to pay respect to those from Washington County who have died serving their country.

The public and all veterans and military personnel are invited to attend the ceremony. Buddy Poppies will also be on sale Saturday and Monday at the Potosi Walmart.
