Vehicle strikes tree, injures two

A Farmington teenager was seriously injured and a Farmington man received moderate injuries Tuesday when their 1993 Ford Taurus struck a tree in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Corey C. Bolger, 21, was northbound on Hillsboro Road at 6:25 p.m. when he swerved to miss an animal. He lost control of the Taurus, which went off the right side of the road and struck a tree south of Pratte Road.

Bolger and passenger Jenifer L. Olive, 17, were taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center. Neither had been wearing a seat belt.

Damage to the Taurus was listed as moderate.

A Park Hills man received moderate injuries Monday when his 2003 Sterling boom truck overturned in Iron County.

According to the Highway Patrol, Robert F. Hamilton, 51, was westbound on Missouri 32 at 10:17 a.m. when the truck traveled off the right side of the road and overturned, .2 mile west of the 49 south junction. The truck damaged two road signs.

Hamilton, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken by emergency medical services to Parkland Health Center.

Damage to the truck was listed as total.
