Renowned Marionettes to perform at local libraries
The Ozark Regional Library is welcoming back the acclaimed Elsenpeter Marionettes performing the classic fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel!
The Elsenpeter Marionettes’ tradition of puppetry started in Elen, Germany, approximately 139 years ago, by puppeteer Richard Elsenpeter’s great grandfather. The traditional, “old-world style of puppetry” has been handed down through four generations and is rarely seen any more in America because of its technical difficulties.
The program, suitable for children and adults of all ages, will be held on Monday, July 16 at the Fredericktown Public Library at 1:30 p.m.
A complete schedule of summer events can be found at your local library or online at the Youth Department blog at http://ozarkregionallibraryyouth.blogspot.com.
