Community Day at Senior Center

The Summit Chapter of Modern Woodmen of America (formerly Senior Chapter) are joining forces with the Fredericktown Senior Center to have a community day Tuesday August 14, 2012. We are asking each person to bring school supplies when they come to enjoy a good meal at the Senior Center.

Some of the needs are 24 count crayons, pencils, large pink erasers, kleenex, glue sticks or bottle glue. There is a more complete list at the Senior Center.

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, Summit Chapters provide opportunities for seniors to take part in social activities and community service projects to meet local needs. For more information about the local chapter and how to get involved contact the Activities Coordinator Shirley Miller at 783-3622.

As a tax-exempt benefit society, Modern Woodmen sells life insurance, annuity and investment products not to benefit stockholders but to improve the quality of life of its stakeholders–members, their families and their communities. This is accomplished through social, charitable and volunteer activities. Annually, Modern Woodmen and its members provide more than $23 million and nearly one million volunteer hours for community projects nationwide.
