July 23, 2012, the Madison County Commission met with the following officers present: Presiding Commissioner Robert Mooney, First District Commissioner Dennis Bradford and Second District Commissioner Larry Mungle. David and Karen Whitener attended the meeting.
ROAD AND BRIDGE
Road and Bridge department supervisor Gregg Pruett reported the condition of equipment and the work they had completed last week. He checked on the cost to remove some overhanging trees on CR 503 and CR 507. He estimated it will cost $1,700.00 to remove the trees. Work scheduled for this week was also discussed. Some mowing and grading has commenced.
Bradford drove over and checked the condition of CR’s 406, 424, 425, 426, 427, 429, 508, 509, 513, 515, and 526 last week. He also attended the East Missouri Action Agency meeting last week.
Mungle looked at CR 401 last week and checked the overlay on the parking lot across from the courthouse.
Mooney attended an Air Quality meeting in Perryville last week. He signed a new contract with the Farmington Department of Corrections allowing Madison County permission to utilize the work release program for another year.
Mooney signed and returned an IRS Form 8038-GC to Gilmore & Bell, P.C. for the revenue bonds Madison Medical Center will be issuing and an agreement with Volvo that releases a new replacement road grader under the lease agreement made this year.
APPROVE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Bradford made a motion, seconded by Mungle to approve accounts payable. The motion carried.
