Snyder faces more charges

Terry Eugene Snyder had been facing just one felony count.

Prosecuting Attorney Jerrod Mahurin refiled the case in late June and now Snyder, 36, of Park Hills, is facing 20 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy involving the same child.

If convicted, each charge carries a sentence up to 30 years or life. He bonded out on a $150,000 bond.

His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 9 before Associate Circuit Court Judge Shawn McCarver.

According to court records, a child, less than 12 years old, told authorities, that Snyder made her participate in sex acts. She said it occurred multiple times in about a one-year period.
