Fall Festival
OLD MINES – Plans are in the works for the annual St. Joachim-St. Joseph Fall Festival to be held Sept. 9 on the church grounds at Old Mines.
There will be country music and a variety of food and refreshments. Roast beef and fried chicken dinners will be served beginning at 11 a.m. in the air-conditioned school cafeteria. Hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, nachos, homemade funnel cakes and sno-cones and roasted corn will also be available.
Old Mines Historical Society will have a booth and Bingo will begin at noon in the physical education building next to the school.
There will be games of skill and chance. There will be a host of events for children throughout the day.
Country music will be provided by Joey Politte and the Brazz Country Band from noon to 3 p.m. and Tom Sampson Band from 3-6 p.m.
