Jesse McCarter, Jr.

BONNE TERRE — Jesse Walter McCarter, Jr., 74, of Bonne Terre passed away August 15, 2012 at Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre. He was born July 22, 1938, at St. Louis. Jesse served eight years in the Army Reserve. He retired from MoDOT where he worked as a heavy duty mechanic in the St. Louis and Jefferson County areas. He was a member and past champion of the American Motorcycle Association and a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed going to car shows and cruises.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Walter McCarter, Sr. and Caroline Ann (Cowling) McCarter; one granddaughter, baby girl; great-granddaughter, Brianna; two sisters, Virginia Cardona and Geraldine Lester.

Jesse is survived by his wife Judy (Robinson) McCarter; daughter, Cynthia Riley of Bonne Terre; three grandchildren, Misty Miller, Jessica (Charles) Allender, James (Heather) Riley; six great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at Noon Saturday, August 25, 2012, at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. View obituary and share condolences online at www.czboyer.com
