Lady Vikings gain first win of 2012

CALEDONIA — The Valley Lady Vikings picked up their first win of the new season, defeating the Marquand Lady Tigers in three straight, 25-1, 25-15. 25-7 to the praise of their home-court fans.

Callee Payne served three aces in helping the Lady Vikings to 16 points, and Kiana Loughary had four aces on her serve to add to eight kills at the net. Erica Crocker had five kills, and Rachael King made four kills and served four aces. Tadum Heifner helped out with 16 assists.

Valley travels to Viburnum on Tuesday for their next match.
