Extension welcomes new Nutrition Program Assistant
The University of Missouri Extension Madison County welcomes Michelle Boillot as their new full-time Nutrition Program Assistant (NPA).
Michelle recently graduated from College of the Ozarks with a Bachelors of Science degree in Dietetics. She also was born and raised in Fredericktown and is excited to be back and bring the Family and Nutrition Education Program (FNEP) to Madison County.
FNEP gives opportunities for rural areas in Missouri to learn about the latest nutrition information. One of the ultimate goals of this program is to encourage positive behavioral changes toward nutrition. The program pin points healthy nutrition, eating more fruits and vegetables, and getting more physical activity. Overall, FNEP is a program that helps clients to achieve lifelong health and fitness. Clients will gain knowledge and skills that will pave the path for better nutritional well-being and health.
Michelle is currently finishing up the program’s training process but will be set to educate schools and agencies in Madison County in mid-October.
