FPAC Pets of the Week

Two cats and dogs are Farmington Pet Adoption Center’s Pets of the Week:

• Jasper – Male light gray tabby, only a year old and front paws declawed. FPAC volunteer Wendy King said, “This boy comes with all kinds of sweetness and will make a wonderful companion.”

• Courtney – A 5-month-old tabby/white kitten. “Courtney is a fun girl who would love to have a kid of her own to play with,” said King.

• Ron – A 1-year-old Rednose Pit. King said, “Don’t let his looks fool you. Ron is a sweetheart and likes men, women and kids. He’s also good with other dogs.

• Max – A 2-year old, Max is “a mix of love and energy.” He came to the shelter with a badly injured leg. “Max is now a 3-legged dog that moves around and runs as if he had all four,” King said. “Come see for yourself and fall in love with our special guy.”

All FPAC adoptable cats / dogs are spayed / neutered, up to date on vaccinations and vet checked. Come in to see these and many other homeless pets that are all deserving of a loving home of their own.

FPAC is located at 2901 Hwy. 67S in Farmington.

Adoption and Thrift Store Hours: Tuesday through Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (10 a.m. – 4 p.m. for adoptions). Closed Sunday and Monday.

As the center increases adoptions and decreases the number of animals on site, they are able to pull from the surrounding pounds who don’t have enough room and are forced to euthanize healthy dogs and cats each week. Adopt a shelter animal and you will help this sad reality. Also, have your pets spayed and neutered.

FPAC is in need of volunteers in all areas — dogs walkers, cat play/socialization, fostering and much needed help in the resale shop. A few hours a week would mean a great deal. Volunteer just yourself or bring along a friend or two.
