Lady Bulldogs edged by Crystal City

CRYSTAL CITY — The West County volleyball team battled through lengthy rallies to a tight finish against Crystal City on Monday night.

Bailey Marks paced the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points and nine assists, but the Lady Hornets seized the 25-22, 23-25, 26-24 home victory.

Morgan Farley recorded four blocks and matched both Tiffanie Jones and Hannah Hollock with three kills each. Marks, Jones and Hollock shared the team lead with eight digs while Erica Moyers added six.

West County (8-10) also got double-digit service points from Jones (13), Hollock (12) and Miranda Lashley (11). Micki Perkins added nine.
