Delores May Armer

Delores May Armer, 78, of Fredericktown died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Center in Fredericktown. She was born June 15, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Catherine (DeBarr) Lozier.

She married Roland Lee Armer September 19, 1963 in Cahokia, Illinois. He preceded her in death November 16, 2011.

Mrs. Armer was also preceded in death by her parents; son George Shockley; sister Margaret Portell; and brother Walter Lozier.

Survivors include sons Mark Armer of Fredericktown and Mitch Armer of O’Fallon, Missouri; daughters – Terry Masengill of Jackson, Missouri, Floe Armer of Fenton, Missouri and Mary King of St. Louis; brother Gene Lozier of Boston, Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Delores had worked for the city of St. Louis as a meter maid. She enjoyed knitting, croqueting and working with crafts. She had attended Calvary Temple Church in Fredericktown.

Funeral services were Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Wilson Funeral Home with Chaplain Derrick Meek officiating. A private interment may be at a later date.
