Joan Carlson

FARMINGTON — Joan Georgia Carlson passed away Tuesday morning, October 9, 2012, at her home in Farmington. Joan was born on September 30, 1938, to the late George and Anna Carlson.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois.

Joan was well known in Farmington as she was a dog groomer who operated Crystal’s Dog Grooming from 1980 until 2011.  Originally she was raised in Chicago where she operated a dog grooming business before moving to Farmington.  She was the ultimate dog lover who enjoyed staying home and watching television.

Survivors include her brother, George Carlson of Chicago and a sister, Betty Ann (Don) Booth of Dayton, NV; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Dorothy Reeves, Louanne Ericson, Betty Moriyama, Mary Haynes, all of Farmington and Lydia Oliver of Pleasant Prairie, WI.  Also surviving is her beloved dog “Midori”. She was very appreciative of the tender loving care she received from Dr. William Johnson for over thirty years.

At Joan’s request there will be no visitation or service.  Arrangements are under the care of Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory.  Any memorials may be accepted in Joan’s name to the Guardian Angel Fund in care of Dr. McNeill’s Weber Road Veterinary Clinic.  View the online obituary and share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
